Semester "New Trends in Mathematical Stochastics" in Saint-Petersburg

Due to coronavirus outbreak the semester is rescheduled to fall 2021 from fall 2020.  The exact dates of specific events are subject to change.

Semester "New Trends in Mathematical Stochastics" will be organized in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, during the fall 2021. It will host a summer school, two conferences and a number of  long-term and short-term visits of the leading scientists in this field. 




A summer school Advances in Random Processes is organized on the last full week of August, 24-28. It is mainly oriented on young researchers but other audience is also welcome. Five outstanding scientists will present mini-courses on their field of expertise.

Aug 23-27



A conference New Trends in Mathematical Stochastics is aimed to attract researchers in the field of share their vision of current trends in theoretical and applied probability. 

Aug 30-Sept 3



A workshop St. Petersburg Youth Conference in Probability and Mathematical Physics is primarily focused on probabilistic methods in mathematical physics but not limited to this subject. It is also oriented on young researchers.

Dec 20-23

Longer term visitors to the semester are welcome. Some financial support is available for scientists in the field of probability and statistics who plan to make a joint research with specialists based in Saint-Petersburg. Visits for a period longer than 1 month are preferred, but shorted periods are also possible on negotiation.
